Aerodata receives order from AAI

Braunschweig, February 10, 2022 – Aerodata (www.aerodata.de), a leader in Special Mission Aircraft and the world wide #1 in flight inspection systems receives multi-million order from Airports Authority of India (AAI). Through an international tender, AAI has announced Aerodata as turnkey supplier for two new flight inspection aircraft Beechcraft King Air 360. Both aircraft will be equipped with a state of the art fully automatic flight inspection system of the AeroFIS® series.

The Automatic Flight Inspection System (AFIS) will be individually customized to the highest extent, in order to comply with the demanding requirements of AAI. With the new aircraft AAI will not only be capable of inspection of all conventional navigation aids like ILS (incl. CAT III), VOR, DME, TACAN, and NDB but also of SBAS, GBAS and all RNAV procedures with the latest computer and software technology.

The AFIS will integrate the newly developed TSO based receiver for flight inspection of GBAS GASTC and GAST-D. The position reference is a hybrid multi-constellation phase tracking GNSS solution that includes IRS, Barometric Altitude, GPS, SBAS as well as GAGAN, GLONASS and GALILEO and combinations hereof. Development, production and integration of the AFIS takes place at the Aerodata facility in Braunschweig / Germany. Aircraft deliveries to AAI are planned for 2023.
